  19th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  19th Lubricating Grease Conference on the theme "Latest Trends in Grease Industry" has been organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) - India Chapter during February 2-4, 2017 at Hotel Ramada Plaza JHV, Varanasi, UP, India. Guest of Honour of the Inaugural function – Mr. Nitin R. Gokarn, IAS Divisional Commissioner, Varanasi welcomed the delegates. Chief Guest of the conference- Mr. Prabal Basu, C&MD, B&L Co. Ltd.
  18th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  18th Lubricating Grease Conference on the theme "Latest Trends in Grease Industry" organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) India Chapter during February 5-7, 2016 at Aamby Valley City, Lonavala, Maharashtra, India. Dr. E. Sayanna, President - NLGI India Chapter welcomed the delegates. In his inaugural address, chief guest of the conference- Dr. R. K. Malhotra, Director General, PETROFED called upon the grease scientists to develop alternates of Lithium hydroxide for grease manufacturing.
  17th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  17th Lubricating Grease Conference on the theme "Latest Trends in Lubricating Greases" organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) India Chapter during February 12- 14, 2015 at Hotel Radisson Blu Temple Bay, Mahabalipuram in Tamilnadu, India. In his inaugural address, chief guest of the conference-Mr. R. Satyanarayana, Chief Superintendent-Madras Atomic Power Station presented global energy scenario and stressed upon the need of the specific lubricants related to energy sector.
  16th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  16th Lubricating Grease Conference on the theme "Lubricating Greases – Nanotechnology Applications" organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) India Chapter during February 2- 4, 2015 at Hotel Taj, Chandigarh, India. Dr. R. K. Malhotra, President - NLGI India Chapter and Mr. Chuck Coe, President NLGI USA, addressed the gathering. Chief Guest also inaugurated the exhibition wherein 11 companies showcased their equipments and technologies.
  15th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  15th Lubricating Grease Conference organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute – India Chapter (NLGI-IC) was held at Hotel Uday Samudra Leisure Beach, Kovalam from February 7-9, 2013. “Lubricating Greases –Technological Innovations” was the theme of the conference. Dr. R. K. Malhotra, IOCL & President, NLGI – IC welcomed the gathering. Guest of Honour, Mr. Chuck Coe, President NLGI-USA, inaugurated the conference and exhibition having 10 stalls. Mr.
  14th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  14th Lubricating Grease Conference on the theme of "Lubricating Greases – Driving Technologies" was organized by National Lubricating Grease Institute – India Chapter (NLGI-IC) at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur during February 2-4, 2012. Dr. R. K. Malhotra, Dir(R&D), IOCL & President NLGI – India Chapter inaugurated the conference and exhibition having 15 stalls. Dr Malhotra in his inaugural address has given world grease production vis-a-vis Indian scenario and emphasized for the development of alternate thickeners to lithium greases,
  13th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  NLGI – India Chapter's 13th Lubricating Grease Conference was organised at Hotel Holiday Inn Gem Park, Ooty during February 3-5, 2011on the theme of "Lubricating Greases – Future Prospects". Indian Oil Corporation was the organizing company and Mr. R. Suresh, DGM (TS), IOC (M), HO was the organizing secretary of the conference. Dr. E. Sayanna, DGM [Grease & IL] of Indian Oil R&D Centre was the technical convener.
  12th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  The 12th Lubricating grease conference on a theme “Lubricating Greases – Challenges Ahead” was organized at Hotel Cidade De Goa during January 28-30, 2010. Goa is the only venue, where the conference is held for the second time. Over 185 participants representing manufacturers, consumers, input / equipment suppliers, researchers etc both from India and abroad registered for the conference. Around 15 participants from abroad also participated in this important event.
  11th Lubricating Grease Conference  
  11th Lubricating Grease Conference was organised at Jaypee Residency Manor, Mussoorie during February 19-21, 2009. “Lubricating Greases – Emerging Trends” was the theme of the conference.

  10th Lubricating Grease Conference, 31st January-2nd February, 2008 at Aurangabad.
  9th Lubricating Grease Conference
  The 9th Lubricating grease conference on a theme “The High Performance Greases - Emerging Trends” was organized at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar during February 1-3, 2007. Over 170 participants representing manufacturers, consumers, input / equipment suppliers, researchers etc both from India and abroad registered for the conference. Around 12 participants from abroad also participated in this important event.
  8th Lubricating Grease Conference
  The venue for the 8th Lubricating Grease Conference was chosen as Hyderabad, situated on the south coast of India, capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The conference venue was Hotel Sitara and Tara for this important conference. Over 175 participants including President NLGI-USA participated. Response from the participants was quite good.
  7th Lubricating Grease Conference
  The venue for the 7th Lubricating Grease Conference was chosen as Cochin (Kerala) during 3-5 February 2005. The conference venue was Hotel Le Meridien Cochin for this important conference. Over 175 participants including President NLGI-USA participated. Response from the participants was quite good.
 
  6th Lubricating Grease Conference
  The venue for the 6th Lubricating Grease Conference was chosen as Pune during 21-23 Jan. 2004. The conference venue was Hotel Le Meridien for this important conference. Participants received a traditional welcome at Hotel. Registration started on 21st morning where over 175 participants representing manufacturers, consumers, input / equipment suppliers, researchers etc both from India and abroad registered for the conference. Around 50 participants from abroad also participated in this important event. Ms Patricia Todd, Mr. Dave Lambert & Mr. Raj Shah, the Board Members of NLGI USA graced the conference and addressed the participants.
 
  5th Lubricating Grease Conference
  The venue for the 5th Conference was chosen as Agra the Taj city during 16-18 Jan. 2003. The conference venue was hotel Mughal Sheraton for this important conference. Participants received a traditional welcome at Hotel. Registration started on 16th morning where over 150 participants representing manufacturers, consumers, input / equipment suppliers, researchers etc both from India and abroad registered for the conference. Over 10 participants from abroad also participated in this important event. Ms Patricia Todd, President NLGI-USA graced the conference and addressed the participants. This conference was also represented by senior officials from various users industry like TATA Steel, RDSO, Essar Steel, Hindalco, Indian Navy etc.
 
  4th Lubricating Grease Conference
  4th Lubricating Grease Conference was organized at a beautiful hotel, Hilton Golden Palms & Spa, Bangalore during 16-18 January 2002. Over 150 participants from India and abroad participated in conference. This conference was inaugurated by
Dr. K. Aprameyam, CMD, BEML. Many prominent personalities representating oil industry, research institutes & user industry participated. Like previous years this conference was once again attended by President NLGI, USA & ELGI.

 
  3rd Lubricating Grease Conference
  The NLGI-India Chapter, organized the 3rd Lubricating Grease Conference at Jodhpur from 14-16th Feb 2001, covering broad spectrum of all aspects related to lubricating greases and gear oils, anyone related directly or indirectly to manufacture of greases, research & development, users, additive and equipment supplier, marketers, manufactures of other inputs invited to participate.
 
  2nd Lubricating Grease Conference
  The NLGI-India Chapter, organized the 2nd Lubricating Grease Conference at Goa 28 & 29 Jan' 2000, to discuss all aspects related to lubricating greases and gear oils.   1st Lubricating Grease Conference
  The India Chapter of National Lubricating Grease Institute, USA, organized the 1st Lubricating Grease Conference at Nainital during February 10-12, 1999, to discuss ways and means of rationalizing grease specification in order to combine many grades into a single product, which would help user industries to reduce their product inventories and costs.
 
  1st Education Course
  Launching its activities, the newly formed NLGI-India Chapter, successfully conducted the first ever education Program in India on "Basics of lubricating greases" during 25-27th May 1998 at Indian Oil Bhavan, Bandra (E), Mumbai. Twenty seven participants representing various organizations in India including manufacturers, users, raw material suppliers etc. attended this course.
 
  2nd Education Course
  After the grand success of 1st education course on basics of lubricating greases, NLGI-India Chapter conducted 2nd education course on "Quality of lubricating greases" at BPCC training centre, Seuree (E) Mumbai, during 14-17 Nov. 1999. The program was inaugurated by Sh. S. Krishnamurti ED(Lubes), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.. followed by a general talk on quality by Sh. R.K. Arora from Escorts Ltd. For the first time four foreign delegates from neighboring countries also known faculties delivered lecture pertaining to quality of greases. Response of participants to this program was very encouraging.
 
  3rd Education Course 
  Once again the response was overwhelming. A total of 51 participants representing manufacturers, consumers and others related to grease industry participated in this three days programme. The course was conducted in two parallel sessions - one on rating of gears and other on tribology of lubricating greases. The course was inaugurated on 9th November 2001 by Sh. N.P. Singh, Director, Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. Sh. V.N. Sharma, GM, Balmer Lawrie Co. Ltd. and Secretary NLGI-India Chapter. The lectures delivered by respective faculties were quite exhaustive and interactive.
 
  4th Education Course
  After the grand success of 3rd Education Course on Lubricating Greases and Procedures for Grease rating with Tribology theme, this course was attended by around 35 participants representing manufacturers, as well as users. In this education course there was an increased participation from user industry compare to programmes. Prominent faculties available in India shared their views & experience with the participants. A visit was also organized to famous Tata steel plant to get a feed back about actual application areas. As per the receieved from the participants this course was very informative, interactive and useful to them. As there was an increased participation from user industry, this also provided an unique plateform to resolve one individual issues. Faculties selected both from user as well as manufacturing industry have taken keen interest in responding to participant's queries.
 
  5th Education Course
  Once again the response was overwhelming. 5th Lubricating Grease Education Course on "Automotive Lubricating Greases" was held at Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Training center, Chennai during 21-23 Nov. 2002. A Total 29 participants representing manufacturers & consumers participated in this course. On 22nd November morning session total number of participants were divided in two groups. One group went to M/S. Hyundai Motors India Ltd. plant and other group to M/S Hindustan Motors, Lancer division. There are two most modern plant making new generation cars. The participants got exposure to these two new manufacturing units. The experience to industry was very interesting & learning to all the participants. The overall response on this course was very encouraging; participants found this specialized course very useful, informative and significant.
 
  6th Education Course
  Once again the response was overwhelming. 6th Education Course, "Cement Plant Lubricants" was organized at Hyderabad during 6-8 Nov. 2003. Tootal 38 participants mainly from user industry participated in this programme. Well known faculties available in India shared their experience with the participants.
 
  7th Education Course
  7th Education Course, "Textile Lubricants" was organised at Mumbai during 10-11 September 2004. Around 30 participants from different industries participated. Response from the participants was quite good.
 
  8th Education Course
  8th Education Course, "Minerals and Metals" was organised at Visakhapatnam during 22-24 September, 2005. Around 30 participants from different industries participated. Response from the participants was quite good.
 
  9th Education Course
  9th Education Course, "Automotive Lubricants" was organised at Gurgaon during 21-23 September, 2006. Over 35 participants representing various industries participated. Response from the participants was quite good.
 
  10th Education Course
  10 Education course, “Textile Lubricants and Heavy Industry”
was organised at Coimbatore during 21-22, September 2007,
where 30 participants participated.
 
  11th Education Course
  11th Education course, “Lubricants for Mining and Pharmaceutical Industry” was organised at Coimbatore during 18-20 September, 2008, where 30 participants participated.
 
  1st Round Robin Test
  NLGI India Chapter, during the first few months after its formation, initiated a round robin test Program for the calibration and improvement of the accuracy of testing equipment in different laboratories. The Program received wide appreciation and seven laboratories participated. The tests included were drop point (D 566), penetration (D 217) and roll stability (D 1831).
